Though I am currently working to include a quick trip over to visit a good friend at his second home in Marseilles France (the first one being Washington DC), this is the broad outline of where I am going to be when. The entire Morocco trip corresponds with Ramadan, which isn't the best timing. As I understand it, people can be a bit crabby and irritable when they haven't eaten or drank anything for 12 hours and you are trying to barter for something. Ramadan ends on the day that we leave, which is disappointing, since I would have loved to stay the extra night to participate in the "Eid" (festival) that marks the end of Ramadan. I am not sure what I going to do in Dubai either. I had reasons to go when I originally made the itinerary, but am starting to wonder what I was thinking. Even a youth hostel in Dubai costs over $50 per night!

Gosh, once you're done traveling and having this amazingly organized adventure (a blog? Insurance? International cell phone?), you can come to DC and organize an adventure for me to the grocery store! I'm so in awe and impressed and EXCITED for you!
